Used Equipment: Item Number GA 112, Induction Melting Plant

Complete Induction Melting System with the following components (see images below):

  • Parallel resonant circuit converter using thyristor technology, water-cooled, 500 kW output, 1000 Hz nominal frequency, silicone hoses, water distributor and collector replaced with copper pipes in year 2005
  • Induction melting furnace, power 500 kW, 1000 Hz, hydraulic tilting, manually operated furnace lid
  • Capacitor cabinet with water-cooled medium-frequency capacitors, silicone hoses, water distributor and collector renewed in copper pipe in year 2005
  • Input transformer oil type (cooling type ONAN), 630 kVA, 20 kV/400 V
  • Pump station for the cooling circuit of the converter and the medium-frequency capacitors, built in year 2005
  • Pump station for the external circuit (Furnace and water – air heat exchanger)
  • Water – Air Heat Exchanger, optional additional evaporate cooler for hot days
  • Control Cabinet for the furnace platform with Siemens PLC S7-300 (in year 2005 changed from S5 to S7)
  • Furnace Control Cabinet
  • Hydraulic Unit
  • Set of Furnace Cables

The plant was built in 1992 by INDUCAL Göllingen, a large manufacturer of induction systems, which had produced several thousand systems until its closure in the year 1999.

The system offered here has demonstrably seen little use over its entire period. We purchased it in 2005 from an insolvent company and it was subsequently leased twice (January 2006 - June 2008 and January 2010 - April 2010).
Our planning was to install the system, along with a diesel generator, as a truck-transportable unit to increase production flexibility in smaller foundries. However, this plan was abandoned due to lack of time, and we are now selling this system at a low price to get free space for new projects.
We can handle service and spare parts supply. The documentation is comprehensive, even including schematics for the inverter electronics. The system is offered "as is" or optionally with new converter electronics (retrofit) and spare electronic circuit boards. It was dismantled “warm” at the previous tenant's premises.
Upon request, we can handle the installation planning for the buyer.                             back
